Little Lady

When I first met this family I was capturing belly photos for a beautiful mother-to-be (for the third time). I was amazed by the calm and peacefulness in the house with such a big moment on the horizon. Everyone was relaxed and so easy going.

What is more amazing is it was the same atmosphere the day I went to shoot newborn pictures of little baby Charlotte. I don't think I have ever had such an easy going newborn session. Everyone was milling about the house, checking in on the session from time to time. Mom even took time to have a coffee - this family has it figured out! No one was rushing off, running around or stressing out and it made for SUCH an easy shoot! We captured some great shots of little Charlie (as she is also known) and the whole morning was such a pleasure!

Tears of Joy?

What I love most about this picture....

...just moments before I snapped this picture little Morgan was in tears...giant, I don't want to have my picture taken tears...then I suggested to mom we should get out a snack...and the tears started to go away...
...by the time we got to the cake smash little Morgan had settled in and was MORE than excited to eat some cake...she is too cute! Happy 1st birthday Morgan! :-)

Expanding Family

There is nothing better than the feeling you get from a household that is waiting for a new baby to arrive. This was the case when I met Shona and her family. Everyone was excited about the impending arrival of a new little girl - especially Shona's 2 daughters. In fact, it was Mya and Tristan's idea for mom to get her belly photos done. I am so glad the girls convinced mom to do the shoot, because she is such a beautiful expectant mom, simply stunning. It was such a pleasure to spend time with this family and I can't wait to do it again when baby number three arrives!

Year in Review

Happy New Year everyone! Here's to a wonderful 2011!

Well, I have been trying for a couple of days to upload some of my favourite moments captured in 2010...with little luck! The uploader has allowed far fewer images than the 50 I picked to share. Okay, so I could have done an entire post on sexy pink shoes...but, seeing as how I might be the only one who would enjoy that I'll share a few more shots from Deb and Donny's November wedding. It was a gorgeous day and a beautiful location. The wedding was fantastic...and the bridal shoes were to die for...take a peek! :-)

Where did October go?

Okay...I did one blog post in October...which means one of 2 things - nothing to blog about or no time to blog. The reason for my lack of blogging is simply my busy schedule. I am currently working at my full-time job, taking a university course one night a week, spending weekends with a camera in my hand and trying to spend time with my family. So, I figured now that November is here I better post something before this month slips away from me too. So, here are a few photos of an adorable little girl. I have photographed Mariah 4 times in the last year and a bit...and she gets cuter EVERY time. Just check out this little GAP ad baby! So adorable!

Deidra is ONE!

When Deidra's mom invited me to capture some special images of her 1 year old I was more than happy to do it. Mom was totally prepared with a cute little onsie and tutus to match. She didn't care about backdrops or the perfect pose or location...all she wanted was to capture her little girl as a one year old. She was such a sweetie!
