Precious.

How gorgeous is this baby girl? I sure do get to photograph some adorable little munchkins...but this one I almost missed out on!

This baby girl made her way into the world and Mom and Dad were quickly wrapped up in this gorgeous little girl that we didn't get to her session until she was 14 days old...in fact, I did a rare evening newborn session just to be sure to get it in amongst the other newborn sessions I had going on that week. Lucky for me she was such a precious (and cooperative) little bundle. She was SO easy going that I captured far fewer images than I normally do during a newborn session with just as much prop and drop variety. She was such a great little model!

Married!

On a gorgeous summer day I photographed Pam and Ryan's wedding. Ryan and I actually went to high school together and my hubby played sports with Ryan...but I really didn't get to know him or his beautiful bride Pam until I did their engagement photos last fall. When I got to know the couple I fell in love with them. They make such a great team. Pam is a wonderful mom to her three children and Ryan has embraced being a dad. This family has a ton of love for one another. I watched Pam's daughter walk her down the aisle, I heard speeches about Pam's youngest daughter being the reason Pam and Ryan met (Ryan was coaching Pam's youngest daughters hockey team) and I watched Ryan being totally awesome with Pam's little boy. This family was meant to be together. Their wedding day was filled with such love and happiness which I can only hope will lead to a long and wonderful life together. Congrats Pam and Ryan!

Summer

As you may have noticed this summer my blogs have been far and few between. A hot summer meant lots of vacation time for me and my family...so I spent very little time on the computer. I did take a pile of photos this summer though, of families, babies and weddings...but instead of sharing those with you I decided to make this post a little more personal. These are a few of the moments I captured this summer with my family. I like to capture our life in photos...and they don't have to be stunning, posed or perfect images...they just have to capture a glimpse of a memories we have made as a family! Enjoy!

Three!

At three years old children pretty much NEVER do what you want. I know, I have a three year old. Dayton, however, was the exact opposite of what I expected him to be. He did everything I wanted and was adorable doing it. I took complete advantage of his willingness to take direction and had him sitting, standing, running, using props...this kid was fantastic! I captured so many sweet shots of this sweet little guy. Take a look!

Inspiration

After a couple of years taking photographs of special moments and new arrivals I am constantly amazed at how I can be inspired with each new day. There are so many photographer websites and blogs that I follow and each one inspires me to take risks and try new things all the time.
