Just a little cold...

Wow...what a start to this session! It. Was. Freezing. The spot we started off in was being hit hard with intense wind...I was worried. Luckily as we moved around and found some other areas to shoot in we got some shelter from the wind and started to feel all our limbs again! :-) In fact, the rest of the session was rather nice...partly because I had feeling in my fingers but mostly because I got to know a very sweet couple! I always feel so special when people include me to help share such important moments, but it's made even sweeter by the fact that this couple JUST moved into the area (from rather far away) and found me online and wanted to work with me! They didn't know someone who had worked with me, they came to my work and decided I was the right choice for them...that is pretty special! Thanks mom and dad-to-be!

Well, I hope the wait was worth it for mom-to-be (I am a day later than I had planed on this post because of a sick kid - story of my life)! They are a sweet couple...and you can't even tell they were partially frozen! :-)

One Year Later!

I absolutely LOVE to photograph newborns...and this little man was one of my favourites! He was a sleeping bundle of joy (see for yourself)...and I have to say he was pretty awesome at his 1 year sessions too!

A little shy at first...and down right annoyed mid session, but I got him back on my side with cake at the end. In fact, we were pretty good buddies by the time he left...he reached out to me from mommy's arms (and in my books that is a BIG deal)!

Thanks to Mom and Dad for letting me be part of this milestone for this little man!

Growing Family

Is there anything sweeter than a growing family? 

I got to spend a great morning with a family I have gotten to know pretty well over the past 2 years. Mom was really looking forward to belly photos and wanted to include her little man and hubby too and I couldn't think of a better way than a lifestyle session. I love watching families get all cozy on the couch together and  be fun and playful. We also managed to snap some studio style images too...fun to get the best of both worlds!
